I2P MENTORING

IMPACTING YOUTH 1BY 1

Welcome image
I2P Mentoring Program is a program that was created to empower our youth by:

Protecting them from the dangers of society and providing them with the tools to be a successful student. Providing them with the necessary tools to achieve their goals whether it be academic or professional.
Promote healthy habits by fighting childhood obesity, bullying, and promoting literacy.

Helping them heal from the past hurts of relationships and stigmas that they may be plagued with. We promote having a healthy self-esteem.
Allow them to be themselves and assist them with making the right choices in life by discussing current events and real life scenarios that require critical thinking skills.

Teach them how to resolve issues without violence and how to be well mannered young adults. Teach them different life skills that will aid them in school and that they will remember well into adulthood.

We have partnered with the Laurens County safe home and through their agency we are offering a program here at our I2P CENTER called “THE GIRL CIRCLE” This program is free to girls 7-18. Each Wednesday our group of girls come together each girl taking turns talking and listening to one another respectfully about their concerns and interests. The girls express themselves further through creative or focused activities such as role playing, drama, journalling, poetry, drama, dance, drawing, collage, clay, and so on. Gender specific themes and topics are introduced which relate to the girls’ lives, such as being a girl, trusting ourselves, friendships, body image, goals, sexuality, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, competition, and decision-making. If you know of any young girls throughout the county that could benefit through this program please contact us Impact2purpose@gmail.com The circle will meet again next Wednesday at our center 820 South Harper  ext Laurens, SC 29360.
